As a Night Auditor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the hotel's financial transactions during the night shift. Your responsibilities will include reconciling daily financial activities, ensuring accuracy in accounting records, and providing exceptional service to overnight guests and colleagues.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct night audits of the hotel's financial activities, including room revenue, food and beverage sales, and other income sources.
- Verify and reconcile daily transactions, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Provide exceptional guest service to overnight guests, addressing inquiries and requests.
- Handle guest check-ins and check-outs during the night shift.
- Generate night audit reports and summaries, including revenue, occupancy, and financial performance data.
- Prepare and distribute daily financial reports to management.
- Assist the front desk team during the night shift, including handling reservations, phone calls, and guest requests.
- Ensure smooth and efficient operation of the front desk.
- Manage cash transactions during the night shift, including cash payments, change funds, and deposits.
- Reconcile cash drawers and maintain accurate records.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and company policies.
- Assist in internal and external audits related to night audit processes.
- Be prepared to respond to emergency situations and assist guests as needed.
- Maintain a safe and secure environment during the night shift.
- Communicate important information and incidents to the head of finance.
- Operate in a safe and environmentally friendly manner, prioritizing guests' and colleagues' health and safety, as well as environmental conservation.
