As a Team Leader - Engineering, you are responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily activities within the engineering department. Your role involves ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in the hotel. Additionally, you play a key role in responding to and resolving any engineering-related issues that may arise during your shift, contributing to the overall safety and efficiency of the hotel's facilities.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the engineering department.
- Ensure the proper functioning and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Respond promptly to any engineering issues or emergencies during the shift.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and address potential maintenance needs.
- Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs or projects.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment inspections.
- Monitor energy consumption and implement measures to enhance efficiency.
- Collaborate with other departments to address cross-functional issues.
- Train and supervise the engineering team, ensuring a high standard of work.
- Enforce safety protocols and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Participate in planning and executing preventive maintenance programs.
- Assist in budgeting and cost control for the engineering department.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and technological advancements.
- Provide support to the Director of Engineering / Chief Engineer as needed.
- Uphold environmental, health, and safety standards in alignment with organizational policies.
